"PEACE III has allowed us to bring the building up to a reasonable standard. The building wouldn’t have been good before. We divided up the existing building. What happened was, if a small group of people were having a meeting, they took up the whole building whereas now there can be a meeting in the committee room, people can be in the kitchen and there can still be something going on in the main room. So one meeting doesn’t occupy the whole hall. There’s disabled toilets and access has been improved for disabled people."

St. Johnston LOL 992
St. Johnston LOL 992 received money from PEACE III towards the refurbishment of their Orange Hall on the main street in St. Johnston. The original hall was built in the 1920s with an extension being added in the 1980s. The PEACE III money has allowed various improvements to be made, including the installation of heating, the partitioning of the main hall into several smaller rooms and the renovation of the kitchen. Disabled access to the building has also been improved and new disabled toilets have been added.
