The Renewable Energy Business Network Project (Ren Net) is funded by the European Union’s INTERREG IVA Programme and aims to establish a network of businesses/individuals that are involved in or wish to get involved in the green economy or renewable energy sector. Together we will explore opportunities to increase the green and renewable energy sector in theNorth Westand Cross Border region.
A local network of 15-20 businesses will be set up in each of the five Council areas of the Northwest: Donegal,Derry, Strabane, Magherafelt and Limavady. Members will meet regularly and identify new opportunities for the green economy and renewable energy sector, receive expert advice, training and support for their business with the aim of increasing its profitability. The project will run until February 2015 allowing time to build a strong and successful network of green enterprises in the region. Local networks will also meet on a regional basis throughout the project lifetime and there will be a number of international best practice visits.
